Although Shirlington is not metro accessible, a brand new transportation center is located on Quincy Street, next to the Shell Station and across the street from the Carlyle and the Shirlington post office.  The trasportation center provides frequent bus service connecting Shirlington to the nearby Pentagon and Pentagon City metro stops.
