In addition to having a tasting bar that’s always open, we offer FREE tasting opportunities featuring an expanded line-up of wines several times a week.  Whether it’s to explore a particular region or wine style that we’d like to expand upon, to taste with a visiting winemaker or other winery guest, or to showcase our top recommendations for a particular holiday or season, our in-store tasting events offer you the opportunity to try before you buy.  Better yet, you’ll enjoy the tasting bar discount on all wines being sampled or purchase 12 or more bottles of the wines featured in the tasting and enjoy a special discount of 15%!  Plus, our events don’t end with the wines!  Watch the calendar for special in-store tastings that explore great chocolate, artisanal cheeses, boutique beers, and more!  For upcoming tastings, check our event calendar.

Want to learn more about wine? Our FREE in-store seminars offer the area’s best opportunity to taste and learn in a fun, relaxed setting.  Typically offered on at 6 & 7 on Tuesday evenings and 1 pm on Saturday afternoons, each 30-45 minute seminar or session in a seminar series features a flight of wines that digs deep into a particular region, theme, or wine style.   Recent seminars have included:

• 7 weeks on the wines of France
• 11 weeks on the wines of Italy
• 5 weeks on Spain
• 5 weeks on wine regions of Australia
• The Science of Taste
• A 3-part Wine 101 series
• A World of Chocolate
• Fabulous French Cheeses

Each seminar is presented by a Certified Wine Educator or Certified Specialist of Wine from the Curious Grape staff, who leads you through the tasting.  Plus, the wines are typically paired with complementary cheeses or specialty foods, presented by our cheese specialist.  Attendees also receive a handy packet of wine notes and comprehensive reference materials that explore the tasting topic.  As if that weren’t enough, you’ll also receive the tasting bar discounts on wines featured during the seminar!  While the seminars are FREE, space is limited, so reservations are required.

Each month, we also offer special wine dinners or comprehensive, walk-around tastings at area restaurants or hotels, giving you an opportunity to enjoy a special line-up of wines, often presented by a visiting winemaker, paired with an expertly-prepared menu, in a relaxed, leisurely setting.  Best of all, these events afford you special discounts on the featured wines, at prices available only to attendees.  Check our events calendar for dates of upcoming dinners and tastings.
