From the Daily Candy - When it comes to The Curious Grape's new in-home, educational wine tastings, you're encouraged to be inquisitive. The pros will come over and help with everything from learning the basics and identifying styles you like to increasing your familiarity with a particular vintage and furthering your appreciation of a favorite region. Moreover, they're happy to work with both (self-conscious) novices and (self-proclaimed) experts alike to devise a custom program -- anything as small as an intimate tasting for two or as large as an all-out wine fest for 200. For each event, they provide the wine, food, glasses, and detailed notes. In other words, just the kind of juicy information you'll be glad to have. (May 21, 2007)
One of the Washingtonian's recommended Bridal Party ideas - With help from The Curious Grape, friends can host a private two-hour wine tasting tailored to the bride. Event staff come to your location with wines, stemware, decorations, cheese and chocolate to pair with each pour. (June 2007)
